LODGING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q.  How do I make a reservations? A.  You can book online, email,  or call us at (903) 765-2385 to check availability.  To book the room, we will need some information including your name, phone number, and credit card number to guarantee the reservation.  You can also give us your email address to receive a confirmation email.  Q.  When will my credit card be charged? A.  We will not charge you until you arrive.  At that time, you can even choose a different form of payment. Q.  If you won’t be charging my credit card, why do you need it? A.  We need your credit card to guarantee your reservation.  We have a 72 hour cancellation policy.  As long as you cancel before 72 hours of your check in date, you will not be charged.  Q. What is your cancellation policy? A. You will not be charged if you cancel your reservation before 72 hours of your check in time.  If you do not cancel in time, or you no show, you will be charged the full amount of your reservation.  Q.  Are pets allowed in any of your rooms? A.  We have designated certain lodging facilities to be pet friendly.  We will allow a dog in the motel rooms 7 & 8, cabins 11 & 12, the trailers, and the house rentals if it meets our pet policy criteria.  Q. What is your pet policy? A.  Only one dog per facility, must be 40lbs or less, credit card on file for any damages, $50 one time cleaning fee, and you will need to sign our pet agreement upon check in.  Q.  What time is check in? A.  Check in is 3pm.  Our housekeeping works extremely hard to provide you with a clean place to stay.  We appreciate your understanding when we can’t get you into your room early.  Q. What time is check out? A. Check out is at 11am. Q. Can I get a later check out time? A. As long as your room is not reserved for another guest that date, a later check out can be possible, but only if granted by the frontdesk.  Otherwise you may be charged, or have your items removed for not checking out on time. Q.  What if I arrive after business hours? A. We will leave your room open with the key inside.  We will attach a map on the storefront door with your last name, showing you where to go.  We can answer any questions by email after business hours. Q. Is there any overnight camping? A. No, our RV spots are by the year only, and we do not allow any tents. Q. Is there a restaurant on site? A. No, we do not personally have a restaurant.  There are other restaurants in the area within 2 miles of us.  Rent one of our cabins with a kitchen to avoid the hassle of finding food! Q. Is there a swimming area or swimming pool? A. We do not have a swimming pool, or an official swimming area.  You are welcomed to swim from the shores at your own risk.  You will have access to Lake Fork Resort’s swimming pool when you stay at Pope’s Landing.  Lake Fork Resort is located just 2 miles North off FM 17. Q.  Why aren’t there bigger cabins that are waterfront? A.  There are rules at Lake Fork made by the SRA that prohibit permanent structures from being right on the water.  Only RV’s are allowed to be waterfront.  Our waterfront cabins are park homes, which are legally classified as an RV, which makes them allowed to be near the water.  Q. How big are the waterfront cabins/park homes? A.  All of our park homes are 399 square feet. Q.  How big are the lofts in the waterfront cabins? A. Each cabin’s loft varies in size.  The lofts are big enough for 2 queen size mattresses on the floor (except cabins 11 and 12 that have 2 twin beds in the loft).  The average person would not be able to stand up in the loft, but the ceilings are tall enough for someone to sit up while in bed.  If you are unable to climb steap stairs, crawl, or duck, the waterfront cabins would not be a good option for you.
